Founded in 2013, Wacaco is a startup company based in Hong Kong. Its registration precedes the Minipresso commercial launch. Originally started in 2012 as a personal project, in an effort to create a small, light and convenient handheld espresso machine, the Minipresso is now under production.

Central to our company’s essence lies the Minipresso, the pioneer among handheld espresso machines, driven by a piston mechanism. Wacaco’s innovation journey persisted, yielding the Pipamoka in November 2019. An esteemed recipient of the IF Design Award in 2021, this portable pressure brewer swiftly garnered a dedicated following among coffee aficionados.
October 2020 marked the advent of the Cuppamoka, an all-in-one portable pour-over coffee maker that secured the prestigious IF Design Gold Award in 2022. Effortlessly blending elegance with functionality, this device swiftly emerged as a must-have for coffee enthusiasts craving perfection, regardless of their location.
By May 2021, Wacaco’s triumphs had burgeoned to a degree that led to the establishment of dedicated production facilities in China. This expansion facilitates stringent quality control over manufacturing while ensuring global availability of their product range.
The innovation surge continued. In June 2021, the Picopresso debuted — the most compact and pro-oriented of Wacaco’s espresso machines. Its remarkable design prowess earned it a coveted Red-Dot Design Award in 2022.
January 2022 marked yet another milestone as Wacaco broadened its repertoire with the Exagram Coffee Scale and Exagrind Coffee Grinder. These precision instruments empower coffee enthusiasts to consistently achieve the perfect grind and brewing ratio.
Finally, September 2022 welcomed the launch of the Minipresso NS2, Wacaco’s most compact and environmentally conscious capsule espresso machine. Partially composed of bio-mass materials, it curtails the reliance on conventional plastic, minimizing its environmental footprint. Compatible with Nespresso pods, this device resonates with eco-conscious coffee enthusiasts yearning for their cherished beverage on the move.
